Shenzhen, July 18, 2026 – The third edition of Shenzhen-Milan Lifestyle Week, the international platform that promotes dialogue between Italy and China through fashion, innovation, culture, and lifestyle, opened with a large turnout of the public, industry professionals, and institutional representatives. The opening ceremony, which took place on July 17 starting at 7:30 pm (local time) at the Eachway Creative Industrial Park in Shenzhen, officially kicked off the event program, confirming the growing interest in a project that, year after year, continues to strengthen relations between the two countries and create new opportunities for institutions, businesses and the creative system to meet.
The broad institutional participation also testified to the international relevance of the initiative. Italian and international guests included Tommaso Sacchi, Councilor for Culture for the City of Milan; Cataldo Cianciaruso, Consul General of Italy in Canton; Maria Rosa Azzolina, President of the Italo-Chinese Institute; and Francesco Morra, Mayor of Pellezzano and President of ANCI Campania.
The inaugural event celebrated the theme of the 2026 edition, Digital Fashion Eastern Expression, through a narrative that linked creative research, cultural identity, and new perspectives on international collaboration, interpreting fashion as a universal language capable of creating connections between people, territories, and contemporary visions.
The evening’s protagonists were the fashion shows of the Italian and Chinese brands involved in the project. Casapreti, Momonì, Raxxy, and Domenico Orefice followed one another on the catwalk, culminating in the closure of HUI Milano, the brand founded by Hui Zhouzhao that for years has represented a cultural bridge between Italy and China through the valorization of Chinese cultural heritage in dialogue with contemporary creativity.
At the end of the evening, institutional guests, buyers, industry operators and representatives of the creative world took part in the official after party of the event, an opportunity for networking and discussion that marked the success of the opening of Shenzhen-Milan Lifestyle Week 2026.
Now in its third edition, Shenzhen-Milan Lifestyle Week confirms itself as one of the main exchange platforms between Italy and China, involving institutions, businesses, universities, creatives and operators in the sector in a process that places the value of culture as a lever at the centre of development for the fashion and lifestyle system.
The 2026 edition takes place between the districts of Longhua and Nanshan, two complementary hubs that respectively represent one of the main Chinese ecosystems dedicated to fashion and creativity and an international laboratory of innovation, networking and contamination between fashion, design, technology and new forms of experience.
The program continues today with a day dedicated to the Nanshan District, where the dialogue between fashion, design, culture, and innovation will take shape through an immersive format designed to foster encounters between brands, buyers, and international stakeholders. In parallel, in Longhua, the Luhu Art Center will host a special artistic performance that will enrich the event’s calendar, confirming Shenzhen-Milan Lifestyle Week’s vocation to build connections between creativity, territory, and contemporary languages.
The event continues with institutional meetings, networking moments and initiatives dedicated to strengthening relations between the Italian fashion system and the Chinese market, confirming the own mission to build bridges between cultures, foster dialogue between creativity and innovation and generate new opportunities for international collaboration.
The second day strengthens the dialogue between Italy and China through an international exhibition, fashion shows and new opportunities for exchange between creativity and business.
Shenzhen, 19 July 2026 – Following the success of its opening ceremony, Shenzhen-Milan Lifestyle Week 2026 entered its second day with a programme dedicated to the dialogue between contemporary art, fashion and new forms of creative expression, reaffirming the event’s role as an international platform connecting different disciplines while fostering cultural and business exchange between Italy and China.
One of the highlights of the programme was the exhibition “Digital Fashion: An Oriental Expression of Gravity”, hosted at the Yizhihui Art Gallery within Dalang Fashion Town in Shenzhen’s Longhua District. Conceived as an exploration of the relationship between art, materiality and contemporary culture through the language of installation, the exhibition was curated by Italian artist Maria Jole Serreli, who served as Artistic Director of the project. She designed the exhibition layout and created two site-specific installations centred on the use of thread, a signature element of her artistic practice.
A multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, installation, visual poetry and performance, Maria Jole Serreli has long explored the relationship between memory, materiality and identity. By incorporating textiles, threads and historical objects into her practice, she creates contemporary narratives that naturally resonate with China’s rich manufacturing heritage and cultural traditions. This dialogue has been further strengthened through her collaboration with HUI, which began in 2019. Several of her works are now part of the permanent collection of the Eachway Fashion Museum in Shenzhen.
Alongside the exhibition, fashion remained at the heart of the programme with runway presentations held in the Nanshan District, featuring collections by Alberto Zambelli, Eachway and Wu Tang. The shows reflected the dual identity of Shenzhen-Milan Lifestyle Week: on one hand, a platform for creative research and artistic expression; on the other, a concrete opportunity for dialogue between brands, buyers, institutions and international industry professionals.
Promoted by Hui Zhouzhao, founder of HUI Milano and a long-standing advocate of cultural exchange between Italy and China through fashion, Shenzhen-Milan Lifestyle Week continues to evolve beyond the traditional concept of a fashion week, becoming an international project that brings together creativity, culture, innovation and business development. With the Shenzhen programme now concluded, the initiative moves to Guizhou Province, where the Cultural Immersion Program will begin. The experience is dedicated to discovering the region’s rich artisanal and cultural heritage through encounters with local communities, visits to places of historical significance and exchanges with women from the Miao ethnic minority, whose craftsmanship has been preserved and passed down through generations. The programme offers participants a unique opportunity to explore traditional know-how as both a cultural identity and a driver of contemporary innovation.
Through this new chapter, Shenzhen-Milan Lifestyle Week once again reaffirms its mission: to build lasting bridges between Italy and China through fashion, art and culture, while creating new opportunities for dialogue between people, places and the creative industries.
