The Architecture of Light
With Groot Earrings, Belleke Gioielli explores the relationship between natural gemstones, space and light, transforming the earring into an essential composition where every element is designed to enhance the intrinsic beauty of the material. The collection embraces a clean, contemporary aesthetic in which the structure is reduced to its purest expression, allowing each gemstone to define the jewel’s identity through its colour, depth and unmistakable individuality.
At the heart of each design lies a faceted natural gemstone, the undisputed protagonist of the composition. Its setting follows the contours of the stone with precision and restraint, revealing its chromatic nuances, natural inclusions and inner depth. A rhythmic sequence of rounded metal elements frames the gemstone with architectural balance, creating a refined interplay of structure and lightness. In some interpretations these details remain intentionally understated; in others they are enriched with diamonds or precious gemstones, introducing subtle points of brilliance while preserving the central role of the stone. The metal never dominates the composition, but quietly enhances the dialogue between material, volume and light.
Entirely handcrafted using the traditional lost-wax casting technique, Groot Earrings are available in yellow bronze, rose bronze, sterling silver and, upon request, gold. The collection unfolds through a wide variety of natural gemstones, including lapis lazuli, aquamarine, blue quartz, sapphires, tanzanites and other carefully selected minerals chosen for their chromatic intensity, transparency and unique geological character. Selected versions are further embellished with diamonds, adding an additional dimension of luminosity while always allowing the central gemstone to remain the focal point. Every pair is inherently unique, as each stone preserves its own natural identity and distinctive characteristics.
The balance between polished surfaces, architectural proportions and the expressive presence of the gemstone defines a contemporary jewellery language that favours purity of design over ornamentation. Here, light is not decorative; it emerges naturally from the encounter between metal, stone and the space that connects them.
Belleke Gioielli is the creative project of Isabelle Gandini, designer, artisan and gemmologist, whose work is rooted in the dialogue between goldsmithing, material culture and gemmological expertise. Following her education at the Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana and her specialisation in gemmology, she adopted the ancient lost-wax casting technique as her signature creative language, producing collections in which every piece is entirely handcrafted and retains the authentic trace of the artisan’s gesture.
Every Belleke jewel is conceived as a unique creation. Rather than producing replicas, the maison celebrates the individuality of natural materials, transforming metal, light and gemstones into a refined, contemporary and unmistakably recognisable aesthetic language.
